Hamilton Girls’ High School has numerous families who host international students. The Homestay Whānau provides a secure, caring and supportive environment to our students.

Each Homestay Whānau undergoes a selection process which includes an interview, referee checks, police vetting and a home visit. Students can expect their own fully-furnished room, and to have their laundry done.  All meals are provided including lunch/snacks to bring to school.   If homestay is your preferred option, your child will be matched with a suitable Host Whānau that will care and support your child.  The homestay fees invoice will include a year’s homestay fee in advance, along with your tuition and other fees required. The homestay fee is held in trust and paid fortnightly to the Homestay Whānau by the school.
