Exam Centre Manager
Hamilton Girls’ High School is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Examination Centre Manager (ECM) to oversee the efficient conduct of NZQA secondary examinations. This is an essential leadership role, ensuring the smooth and effective running of examinations for NCEA and New Zealand Scholarship in November/December.
As the ECM, you will be directly responsible to the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) for managing all processes related to the administration of secondary examinations at our examination centre. This includes ensuring that all procedures are carried out in line with NZQA standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the operation of secondary examinations, including NCEA and New Zealand Scholarship, at Hamilton Girls’ High School.
Ensure full compliance with NZQA procedures and requirements.
Manage a team of examination supervisors, ensuring adequate staffing levels while maintaining efficiency.
Coordinate examination schedules, resources, and logistics to ensure smooth operation during the exam period.
Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the examination period, ensuring a fair and secure examination environment for all students.
To be successful, you must have strong organisational and time-management skills, leadership experience, and the ability to manage a team of supervisors efficiently, a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy in following procedures.
Previous experience in an educational environment or event management is desirable.
